Today I as I stood on the second level of a play area in our local children's museum trying to avoid being claustrophobic, I was again reminded that God's got this. My son, who in China needed to be carried everywhere and screamed when we put him on a two foot slide, let go of my hand, climbed up the big steps and went down the BIG twisty slide over and over again. He squealed with laughter while I cried... again.
Aiden has a big surgery coming up on October 8 that will have us in the hospital in Cincinnati for almost two weeks. I am taking a leave from work for 6-8 weeks after that because his recovery will be difficult. The next few months will be hard. He has come so far and has so far to go, but days like today and that BIG yellow slide are what keep us going.
